On the celebration of World Malaria Day, the Congolese Foundation for Medical Research (Fondation Congolaise pour la Recherche Médicale) paid a visit to the ALYOU FATIMA School Complex in the Kombo neighbourhood, to sensitise students (from classes CM2 to Terminal) on the methods of prevention and treatment of this disease.
After exchanging on the dangers of malaria and the objectives of the World Malaria Day, these students, under the supervision of the researchers of the FCRM, carried out several series of experiments on the methods of screening for this disease.
According to the FCRM immunologist – Dr. Jean Claude DJONTU: “the objective is to sensitize the students who will henceforth become real ambassadors of the fight against malaria and can diffuse the messages of prevention and responsible actions to their families, their neighbours and their community at large.”
